And that's it. It's officially too chilly to bare-leg it to the office anymore and the holiday party invites are flooding my inbox. This is all happening too fast for my liking. I haven't even created gift guides for y'all and too be honest if they aren't completed by black Friday, then I'll give myself some leeway and forgo them this year or create it on Pinterest instead.

But back to this chilly weather style chat.
When it comes to wearing tights, Eva Chen said it best "hold off on tights until the last possible second because once you succumb, they're on for nearly five months in New York City!" - truer words have never been spoken. I generally follow Eva's rule, but unfortunately, this cold front sweeping the midwest and northeast has sealed our fate. The tights are out and are here to stay until March (#sadface).
I'm not entirely bashing on tights, I do have fun with them when not in sub-zero weather. The solid black color scheme offered by black tights do give me a chance to play with wildly printed dresses and patterns that may have otherwise been a little hard to dress for the office. For today's look I paired my striped Buckley K dress with a thick sweater (why are offices always so cold!!), super comfortable booties, thick tights (for that added posh factor), and gave it a touch of color with a few pieces from Kendra Scott's bold neon collection. I actually loved the entire look so much, it's definitely going to be repeated throughout the vortex - just swapping out these thick tights for these fleece tights instead.
