Style The Bump | Comfy in an Oversized Coat

Before you ask, no I’m not pregnant. I’m just sitting on a mountain of unshared outfit photos and decided to share them all when the timing, seasonally, is right.

As mentioned in this post, I LIVED in my Blanqi leggings. The fabric was buttery-soft, and I felt supported throughout my second + third trimester. Aside from that, you could also find me in an oversized coat.

The reason was that I could never find a shirt loose enough to cover my bum to sport these leggings as pants. My solve was an oversized coat. And it worked out since the temps started to drop towards the end of my pregnancy.

The white puffer shown here was rented via Nuuly - such a great solution for expecting mamas who are getting used to their changing bodies. I made use of their rental services throughout postpartum too!

Style The Bump | Chunky Sweater + Leggings

Spoiler alert, I’m not pregnant. However, I do have a handful of outfit pictures that were never shared and so here we are.

If there’s one thing I wore over and over again, it had to be my Blanqi leggings. Those were so vital thanks to the fabric’s comfortable support (which is key when pregnant). These leggings are also one of the first things I end up recommending to expectant friends.

Because leggings were usually on, I would end up styling them with chunky sweaters, shackets, blazers, and oversized tops. Anything that could fit the bump and made me felt cute, basically.

Breakfast of the Champions

Found these in my camera roll from December 2019! A few months before NYC went into lockdown.

The streets were so alive, vibrant, and yes, dirty. Even in the cold.

What’s funny, is that even years later, this is still somewhat my go-to cozy outfit: a matching sweatsuit with scuff-free sneakers. It looks and feels so effortless. There are so many different variations and colors in my closet that I need to downsize in order to reclaim some much-needed closet space. (This is where I plug in to follow me on Depop and Poshmark).

If you’ve been inspired to try on this trend, definitely check out Aritzia, Gap, and Alo Yoga! Sharing a few cute ones below too.
