Exploring Imran Qureshi on the roof garden.

The boy and I decided to catch Punk: Chaos to Couture before it ended. And to be honest, we were not impressed. I expected more gritty punk history to be shown from the 80s and onwards, not a full on runway show that featured how designers were influenced by a Punk's DIY motto. Don't get me wrong the clothes they featured were BEAUTIFUL, but it did pull at my little punk heartstrings. Although not immediately apparent, I grew up listening to the many different genres of punk and regularly snuck out with my bestie (Sheena definitely was & still is a punk rocker) to catch shows that would never went on. Regardless how we dress the spirit lives on in us.
BUT (!!!) there was an exhibition I had fun exploring, the Met's roof garden commissioned by artist Imran Qureshi.
Explore it on your next visit. You will not be disappointed.
