Pore Be Gone with Neutrogena

July 30, 2014

Today's post is sponsored by Neutrogena and Latina Bloggers Connect - thank you for supporting the brands that make this blog possible! And as always, all opinions are my own.

Here's my week with Neutrogena by my side. Can I get a #YASSSS to brighter and younger looking skin! The full Neutrogena Pore Refining set includes: Daily Cleanser, Exfoliating Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer. Stick with the full set to see better results.

Day 1
Excited to try out the Neutrogena Pore Refining Line, mostly because my skin has been looking a little dull (and fugly). Dull skin could be caused by a multitude of things, but in my case, it's because my pores are little too large. Time to shrink those suckers down.

Day 2
Neutrogena's line includes two sorts of face wash, the daily cleanser and the exfoliating cleanser. I'm using both since my skin tends to get oily during the summertime. After cleansing my skin I make sure to do a final rinse with warm water - it cleanses better than cold water if you're wondering why.

Day 3
My boyfriend has joined me in the fight to shrink pores. We get into small quibbles over who's hogging the toner. In the end we're both winning. The toner sweeps away dry skin without drying my skin which is pretty important since dry skin can make for very oily skin later (in my case). Very important that you let the toner dry before applying the Neutrogena Pore Refining Moisturizer.

Day 4
I'm starting to notice that my dark spots are fading (Hallelujah!). The Neutrogena Pore Refining Moisturizer contains Beta Hydroxy Acid and Retinol which in turn is helping my skin go from Nay to Yay.

Day 5
Skin is starting to look brighter and noticeably younger which is always a plus plus. I've also made my night time cleaning regime become me time. It's pretty soothing setting yourself up for a good night's rest.

Day 6
In case you're wondering what makes pores look larger, it's the dirt that gets trapped inside them. To be honest, this morning was a "snooze repeater." Could not get up for the life of me, but had to makes sure I got my pores taken care of aka skipped the exfoliator and went for the daily cleanser. It was no biggie really since it still penetrated deep into my pores to get that ultimate clean.

Day 7
Boyfriend is swearing by toner and my pup is happy that my skin feels just as soft as his fur if not softer. I can totally understand why this collection is back by popular demand, it makes anyone who comes across it look uh-mazing. I'm going to keep at it with the full set, and implore you guys to do the same :)

In the end my secret to smooth and younger-looking skin (and pores be gone) has to be Neutrogena's Pore Refining line. And anything that minimizes my previous blemish scars is a godsend. Now excuse me, it's time to take my I woke up like dis selfie.

Country x City

June 16, 2014

If you guys really knew how much I loved this blind little dude, you'd probably feel bad for my boyfriend.

Hat: c/o AmiClubwear  Necklace: Etsy  Rings: House of Harlow 1960  Cuff: BaubleBar  Top: Aritzia  Boyfriend Shorts: Victoria Secret (but love this)  Shoes: c/o Cat Footwear  Lipstick: Half 'n Half via MAC  Purse: Rebecca Minkoff

Lots of denim looks lately, but can you blame me? It's basically a summer staple and so easy to style. Nearly everything goes with denim. Another summer staple, are these Cat Footwear flats. The brand is probably synonymous with industrial work, but if you head over to their site you'll see they're also pretty stylish. And since Cat is known for their craftsmanship, you can rest assure on knowing that every pair of fancy footwear is made to last.

And don't forget to stay safe in the sun with plenty of sunscreen, and plenty of hats. I've been eyeing quite a few from AmiClubWear.com. Now if you'll excuse me, there's someone pawing at my legs for more attention.

Banksy'ed.

October 16, 2013

Banksy is hitting our town for a full month. Banksy, a world famous 'writer' and artist is going around town creating thought provoking installations and graffiti pieces. It should be fun what he surprises us with the next day, but you can all follow along with his instagram. It's the best source to find out Banksy has done next.

Being a fan of this guy and his film, Exit Through the Gift Shop, I definitely had to check out some of his pieces. I was able to catch the Concrete Confessional since it's right next to my boyfriend's job. Two things I learned is that the amount of recognition this guy has is insane. AND, the amount of haters he has is kind of crazy. Never knew how territorial the art of graffiti was until Banksy took over NYC.

Let the Banksy-mania continue!

I’ve always appreciated + enjoy
