I had the opportunity to meet the face behind d.i.d. nail paint at a fun meetup dedicated to everything about nails. Beauty Trends for Spring 2014: Tangerine Spotted

I've been doing tons of research at my day job on all the spring trends that were bound to see. With my brain fully loaded, where else can I unload the knowledge... well duh, here. One trend I'm happiest to see is the resurgence of orange, tangerine, neon orange (whatever you wanna call it) will be back in full force this spring. It even looks like it might dwindle into the summer air just a bit. Always been a fan of this shade since it complements my skin and makes my curls even that more exotic.

Rarely seen, but always around - welcome to the inside of my beauty bag. Also known as my 'oh shit, I'm late for work gotta save my face on the subway' emergency lifesaver. Being a lifelong Allure subscriber and getting some amazing tips from beauty pros during my modeling heyday I've accrued a no fail makeup bag. 

Some tips I love to pass along: 

1- When in doubt always go neutral. Find your neutrals and stash an eyeshadow and eyeliner in your bag. Not into neutrals, cool me neither; go gold! Shimmery not sparkly please.

2 - Always have a spare hair tie, along with a lint roller, and nail clipper. Having these key essentials have helped save face more than once.

3 - Bronzer and peach (or whichever shade is your natural shade) blush work wonders when without foundation or concealer. They're also great to have on deck for touch ups.

4 - Trial sizes work wonders, have a favorite mascara well then get the trial size. And speaking of mascara, never leave home without it. You never know who you may run into.
