It's been a while since I did something geared towards office style. And with my favorite (aka only) pencil skirt in tow, I think now would be the perfect time to "remix" it for a more desk-friendly look. In fact, my favorite Express staple has probably made just as many cameos on the blog as my Joe Fresh moto jacket.
These two pieces have definitely been smart buys for me.
Earrings: Goldy & Mac Necklace: c/o Capwell+Co Sweater: Madewell Skirt: Express Bracelet: The Sak Rings: House of Harlow 1960 + Zoetik Jacket: Joe Fresh Purse: DKNY Mousse: Beautiful Textures Flats: DSW Lipstick: Makeup Forever Rogue Artist Natural in N9
And while we're on the subject of "remixing", anything that can go from office to an event and a few holiday pop-ups after work are a godsend. Which is exactly what this effortless look was able to provide a few days ago. Also, what's with December jam-packing everyone's schedule - it kind of feels like a rat race. Or maybe, that's just me and dayumn am I looking forward to sleeping in during 2015.
But until 2015 comes around (which I am sure will happen in a flash), I'll continue wearing this pencil skirt. This time around I decided to pair it with luxurious but affordable knit sweater from Madewell. I felt that pairing gave it an off-duty look, but one you'd wear to the office when combined with these bermuda flats I scored from DSW. Since I wanted to maintain that effortless look I stuck to wearing this chain necklace from Capwell+Co and these rad earrings I found at a local boutique, Goldy & Mac.
Also, how crazy is this weather that tights were not needed... in December.
