With only two days left of this amazing show at The New Museum, it would be kind of absurd to have you run, wait in line and catch it before it expires. So, let's try something new. Let me show you what you'll be missing out on. Let me introduce you to Chris Burden and his life works.
Chris Burden's 'Extreme Measures' is his first U.S. show in over twenty-five years and utilizes all five floors of the museum. Chris Burden is an American artist who is known for his performance pieces, sculptures, and installations. This specific show examines weight, measurement, constraints, physical and moral limits. An example of his measurement work would be the gigantic ship on the outside of the building and then the tiny little submarines grouped together inside the building. Another great to know about this show is that it's the artist's first survey of New York.
If you're into installation art, instagram moments, performance art, American art or simply want to see a stack of a gold bars protected by matchstick men then why not catch the show in person.
