First and foremost #TGIF, secondly how about this heat wave. We survived! When it gets this blazing hot in the northeast it's time to opt for breezy fabrics and light colors. Behold the little white dress, perfect for our concrete jungle and sweltering subway system. Usually, I do carry a denim jacket for those late night breezes and, let's be honest, frigid subway rides (I literally freeze sometimes).
I'm the sort of girl to pair my dresses with boots or sneakers. I live in a pedestrian heavy city so it's important to have the comfort without the hassle at a moment's notice when it comes to my shoes. Which is why I like the innovation behind Hickies, which are rubber shoelaces. By using Hickies I'm able to transform any of my favorite sneakers into slip-ons, which is cool since the fashion forecast dictates that slip-ons are going to be the next big thing.
Oh, and if you're a runner you should also give Hickies a try. They're perfect for race day. My tip for the season: skip the foundation and try on a tinted moisturizer, Laura Mercier has some amazing ones.
