At twenty-six you would imagine that your entire life has been sorted out, and definitely settled without a parent's help. But, I can assure you that is all bullshit. Instead twenty-six is just the tip of starting to figure out who you are and as cliche as it sounds, what you want to be when you grow up.
In fact I might even dub this year as my real quarter life crisis. It's kind of easy to do when the unemployment rates in New York are so high, and you're still an intern... like forever an intern.
And you're barely making the minimum due on student loans.
Either way, happy birthday to me!
At twenty-six, this is either going to be the year full of 'yes' or full of disappointments.
And maybe, just maybe, I'll get a big girl job.
