The Kids Are Alright
What the hell is a modern family? Is that the term given to gay couples with kids, biracial families, single-parent households, old ladies with millions of cats. Or is every family modern simply because we live in the 2000s.
Is there a formula for having a classic nuclear family? I can count on one hand the number of friends who could be defined as having a nuclear family by Webster yet a family is still a family.
I read the reviews and it doesn't seem to be the best movie ever made, but it does fit the "quirky" trait. I'll give it a go at the matinée; viewing how are Americans are shaped in movies we see today can leave a lasting impression on foreigners and kids of the future. My guess is that they live in California somewhere. Another reason to see it, I decided to read "eat pray love" instead of skipping to the nearest theater.
