Winter Weekend and Beyond Uniform

This weekend's challenge - make my suede BEARPAW Cinna boots chic enough for any day of the week. Trust, it was a bit hard to deviate from the norm - leggings. To spend the day in forgiving fabrics sound like a dream, add in a Bloody Mary, it's a typical Sunday. Yet with boots this warm, I wanted them to work on a chilly Monday too.

Ugh, now I'm craving a Bloody Mary - like ten of them. But... How do you guys like the look?! I felt so classy strolling through Duane Reade's snack aisle when wearing this, like so classy.

Sometimes a gal just wants to wear comfy shoes but needs to be semi-presentable (and really warm at the same time). These boots and this faux fur vest were made in chic-heaven for each other.

After covering all the comfy + chic bases, it was time to upgrade my purse for something that's more technology advanced. Enter the Genevieve tote, which holds my Kindle, Laptop and (way too) many organizers - perfect for the always on the go girl or social media chick. All in all, when you find the purse that fits your life, you can't do anything but jump for joy.

How do you ladies style your suede boots or Uggs during the weekend and workweek? Would love to get new ideas :).

Fancy Feet

Before wondering why I'm not wearing snow shoes, let me first state that the flurries were a few hours early. The snowy surprise made for a fun photoshoot, for all parties included (minus the cabbies). It was surprisingly warm enough for ankle nudity which I took advantage of in my Aerosoles oxfords.

Oxfords have long been on my radar before T. Swift made them a part of her daily uniform. I browsed the interwebs, occasionally adding a pair to my "bag" to only delete them later. Nothing really stood out to me and the thought of purchasing a pair for the sake of having them was... Unlike me. I needed one with character, one that gave me that feeling - the accomplishment oxfords in snakeskin gave me that feeling. They were on mega sale too (#tinywin). Plus, wearing them was comparable to walking on baby clouds - if that makes sense.

These oxfords also gave new life to my Canadian tuxedo - seen here and here but layered. I highly recommend sprucing up yours with all the fun sweaters this season has to offer! Although a bit masculine at times, there's always an option to put a bow on it. I did it with my (sister's) vintage Miu Miu. The loaner bag is still in my possession (high-five guys!!) so it may become a repeat offender on the blog.

Sidenote: don't forget to check out my Poshmark for a few steals and deals!

The Edit: Turtlenecks

The J. Crew Tissue Turtleneck Tee has been in constant rotation this winter. It's the perfect piece for layering and has been styled on the blog over and over again for this reason. Not to mention that it's also incredibly soft. My closet already has two of these in stock, and the black version has been wish-listed for my birthday. After wearing the hell out of these turtlenecks (and still going strong) it's only right that I show y'all how I've been styling them... By video.

That's right guys, my new youtube video is finally live. Really hope you like it and don't worry the quality will improve as my S.O. and I get into the swing of youtubing. You wouldn't believe how expensive it is to license music for youtube - kind of nuts!! Feel free to share you're youtube tips if you're on it.

Watch it. Like it (hopefully). Share it. And Subscribe :).
