#FalsiesPushUpDrama #CollectiveBias

You guys! I walked into Walmart in search of one thing (the new Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara) and ended up with so much more. With that being said what better time than now to share my super easy fall look. Great for those "I'm already late" mornings.

So yes, this is my signature fall look.

If you're looking for the New Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara - look for this sign! But before you head there make sure you make a list of the products I used so you can also recreate my fall look (they should all be in that aisle too).

And here's the loot I came home with! Now you're not going to use everything here but just wanted to share, you know, beauty junkie to beauty junkie.

Alright, now let's get started! I've already completed my base including blush and highlighter but left everything in my eye's vicinity bare. That means no mascara, eyeshadow, or eyebrow pencil. Pretty scary right? I don't want to scare you guys any further so let's get started!

Step 1: FYI, all these shades can be found in Maybelline's Blush Palette. SO GOOD and SO AFFORDABLE. Shade your lid with the lightest color. This will give you a base to build off of. If you notice I went pretty light and made sure it was even throughout the lid. For this color I blend out and up towards my brow bone.

Step 2: Blend the next color into your crease (shown in photo below). I also blended a little bit of the dark brown shade at the end of my eyelash line.

step2.jpg

Step 3: Take the shimmery gold color and sweep it over your entire lid but stay underneath the crease. From there I blend out and soften up the brown in the crease. Blending is your friend here.

step3.jpg

Step 4: Line your lids. I used the Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black and gave a tiny swoop up at the end of my lash line.

Step 5: Frame your face. For this I used the Brow Define + Fill duo pencil. First you lightly pencil in your brow and then us the other end to fill in with brow powder. Super easy to use which is why I highly recommend it!

Step 6: Apply Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. This is the world's first ever push up brush with cup-shaped bristles that scoop, coat, and lift lashes. So with that said let every bristle glide smoothly onto your lashes dramatic lift of 45 degrees. Use two coats for more intensity.

Step 7: Once your lashes are charged up and volumized, apply a berry hue (I'm wearing Maybelline's Color Sensational in Blissful Berry), shake out your hair and head out to conquer the world.

You can't even tell that I took less than 10 minutes creating this look right?

I'm kind of a walking disaster when it comes to applying false lashes so I'm really excited that Maybelline was able to recreate the same effect in their new Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara I think they did an amazing job with the formula. I mean look at my lashes when I first started and look at how dramatic they look now. This is a definite keeper in my makeup bag!

When in a time crunch I can never leave without having my brows filled in or mascara. What about you?

Berry Hues for Fall!

Alright, I'm going to be totally honest and say there was not enough summer last season. Now that I got that out into the open let's talk beauty (my happy place). Did I mention I've been taking a few classes a la YouTube to help improve my blending (and justify a few new fall purchases).

I haven't had a great fall lip color since forever so I was in the market for a new moody berry luckily I was invited to test out Bobbi's Brown limited edition lipcolor trio. The three different shades are universally flattering so they'll make a great gift for a friend or yourself. You can find the trio at your local Neiman Marcus (click here for the store locator) or online.

Wearing Salmon.

Although all three shades will get a ton of use this fall I'm especially fond of the Salmon color. It's a gorgeous go everywhere shade - but for a night out I'll probably reach for the Soft Rose shade. For this Bobbi Brown trio the colors included are: Pale Muave, Salmon, and Soft Rose.

Along with learning how to blend (did you know it takes Kim Kardashian four hours to blend), I also picked up a few tips for long lasting lip color:

- Before anything, brush your lips to get rid of any dead skin. It'll help your lips look smoother. I use a soft bristle toothbrush and after brushing wipe away flaky dry skin with a moist towel.

- Next, I apply a lip balm that's not too overwhelming and apply a thin layer to keep my lips moisturized. A great one that I love is from Fresh (also at NM). Keeping your lips moisturized will give you a smooth application.

- To get my lip color to stay put all day I line my lips and then fill them in with a lip liner. I use a clear liner but using the same color as your lips is another choice.

- Now the fun part! Apply your lipstick. I like to start in the center and work my way out. After applying blot your lips.

You can find all these everything you need for your lip (and create a kit so to speak) at Neiman Marcus' beauty section or shop them below:

Moisturized Mondays with Jergens

#ApplyBeforeYouDry #CollectiveBias

Happy Monday! After a full seven days of being home, life (and my internal clock) is starting to feel normal. Jumping between time zones is so not fun and neither is dealing with all that recycled cabin air - talk about major dehydration issues.

When I got back last Sunday, one of the first things I did was give my dog Miles lots and lots of hugs. The very next thing was hop into my shower. I absolutely loved the huge showers in the hotels I stayed at but there's nothing like taking a long shower at home and slathering on some much needed Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer. Light a candle up, exfoliate your skin a bit, and slather on the lotion - my version of an at-home spa.

Off the bat I apply moisturizer in the shower while my skin is still wet - it's one of the best ways your body will retain moisture (#lifehack). After my wet-skin application of lotion I always pat dry and allow my skin to dry. When moisturizer is applied to wet skin it's able to trap the water on your skin and use it to keep your body moisturized all day long which in turn keeps your skin looking healthy. Jergens Wet Skin works with my routine and even enhances this little known fact by locking in hydration at skin's peak moisture moment for luminous & soft skin (no rinse needed either).

Before I left for vacay, a few of the things I do and I'm sure I'm not alone here is: clean house (returning to a dirty/disheveled home is a quick fire to stress), shop for travel/home necessities (hello Target!), and shower (on long trips - it'll be the last one for a while).

I discovered the new line from Jergens at Target while shopping for travel and home necessities (like a travel toothbrush & cat food 😓). Seeing that it fit in with my "apply before you dry" routine I had to stock up on the Calming Green Tea Oil & Nourishing Monoi Oil lotions - they also carry a Refreshing Coconut Oil scent as well. If you're curious, All scents are super light and haven't interfered with my signature scent.

After my Target shopping was done and things were packed I took my last shower before my flight out and gave the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer a test-drive. Remember apply to wet skin and pat dry. After a solid thirteen hours in-flight my skin felt soft upon arrival and saved me the time of reapplying lotion. Knowing the brand and how seriously it takes hydration I made sure to transfer some lotion in a TSA bottle while away from home - extremely glad I thought ahead as it saved my skin and time!
