TSB: September Rack Up

What a month! I'd give anything for extra time in Lebanon and Paris. But, now that I'm back it's time to make the most of every single minute and hopefully work less. There weren't a ton of outfits photographed this month... because vacation. But, those that were posted were so fun and feminine. Can't wait to see what October holds for me, style-wise!

How was September for you - style wise?

Must Eat: Pure Green

After eating every single carb in Lebanon & Paris, it's time to saddle back into eating clean, or, at least, attempt to with a few healthy juices.

For me personally, replacing a meal with a smoothie or tacking on a green juice to my lunch makes me feel loads better. My only complaint about going a juice-only route is the price. Where I work, I'm a stone's throw away from a couple of juice spots - expensive ones. After reading a few rave reviews, I gave Pure Green a try. It's near me, the prices are affordable, and the menu looks amazing.

The one I frequent is connected to an Open Kitchen (a healthier buffet of sorts) which makes getting a healthy lunch a plus. There are a few other Pure Green locations throughout the city and I heard a few more are in the works.

Once inside the modern and spotless juice bar you can either grab a juice and go, or pick something from their menu of smoothies, fresh juice (obvi), acai bowls, and shots of immunity boost. If you're undecided here's what to go with in the smoothie department: Mocha Cold Brew, Blue Royale, Banana Nut. As for juices, Soul Kick and Pure Greens with Apple, Lemon, and Ginger are constantly in heavy rotation. And when I'm trying to kick back on coffee I go with the Wake Me Up boost - this is also great for hangovers (speaking from experience). It's hard picking favorites when it comes to their Acai Bowls since they're all so GOOD, but I live for their coconut chia acai bowl.

Besides the price, I love how Pure Green puts a lot of emphasis on sourcing high-quality ingredients which makes everything taste delicious and helps us sustain energy all day long.

For those of you in NYC looking for a cleanse before or after a trip (AKA me) Pure Green offers them with the aid of a Pure Coach. This is kind of amazing for newbies or those looking to get more from their cleanse.

I highly recommend adding a green juice to your diet especially for those blah weeks and, of course, checking out Pure Green in the process.

Five Friday Favorites

We're one week into fall and the summer weather still hasn't let up. I'm taking advantage of it by heading out to Prospect Park and maybe (if the schedule allows) sleeping in late. Anyone else get super excited about sleeping past 7 am or is that just me?

As for my favorites, I can't really mash all of this up into one solid category except for they all have been working really well for me (especially the acne patches). Lifesavers perhaps? They're all amazing things to have on board as I dive nose-first into fall and hopefully you agree :).

1. Carol's Daughter Sacred Tiare Hair Mask
I'm a huge fan of Carol's Daughter and have really enjoyed the process of testing out their different lines. After trying out the Hair Milk line I decided to get the Sacred Tiare line since my hair has been feeling a little sun damaged and frizzy. The line promises to stop shedding and frizz so I had to give it a go. My favorite from the line is the hair mask, it's so thick and covers every strand in coconut oil, shea, is free of parabens and sulfates. Personally, I love to leave this on my hair for a little bit longer to help strengthen my strands. This line, in particular, is only available at Target and it's definitely worth picking up if your hair is need of some serious SOS.

2. The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
Yep, I'm still trying to declutter my space but had to pick up this book based on all the rave reviews from Good Morning America, my mom, and a few other outlets. So far I haven't been able to devote a weekend to reading and decluttering (I assume they have to go hand-in-hand) but I did read a few snippets. AND WHOA, did those snippets help a ton already. If you're curious I went through my drawers and refolded everything to stand upright and got rid of joyless pieces. Highly recommend for those that are moving or looking for a way to declutter as well.

3. Febreeze In-Wash Odor Eliminator
I definitely mentioned this before but felt like it needed repeating. For those of you bringing your A-game to your Classpass, you must pick this up. Within one wash of using this (along with your other detergent), the stink is gone. I always feel confident in my gym clothes after using this on my colorful spandex. The day Febreeze makes an all-in-one detergent will be the happiest day of my life. It's also great for clothes, comforters, and stinky socks of course.

4. Nexcare Acne Care Patches
When it comes to acne in the k-beauty department, these acne care patches have been life-savers. I don't exactly know what it says on the box (or on the back for that matter), but I do know that when these patches are placed on a zit, it draws out the gunk from a zit, flattens the zit and in my case, prevents me from picking the zit since it's covered up. I love to use them at night and peel off in the am. I've heard of other girls wearing theirs during the day and applying makeup over the patch. I get these on Amazon and hope they never stop importing them from Asia!

5. J. Crew Tissue Turtleneck (and all their turtlenecks in general)
Turtlenecks are my absolute Friday and everyday favorite. Although, some people may say they're an unflattering silhouette, I think they make getting dressed during the fall so easy. My favorite turtlenecks have to come from J. Crew and I prefer the tissue version - it's light, great for layering, has long sleeves, and come in a variety of colors. I love these turtlenecks so much I even devoted an entire YouTube video on how to style them! When J. Crew has another sale you better believe that I'll be scooping up a handful more.
