NYC: 3 Things For This Week

Slowly making my way out of hibernation and recovering from NYFW, here are a few places that make venturing outside worth it!

1. Fonda Restaurant

It's pretty hard to find amazing Mexican food, but after discovering Fonda's and their brunch menu - life has never been the same again. For $28.50 (the boozy brunch special) one can order an entree and have unlimited refills for a whole hour and half. If you do end up going, make sure you reserve your table ahead of time and try their freshly made guacamole too!

2. The Movement

Sweat is sexy and feel-good too. The movement has a variety of energetic and well-rounded classes. My favorites are their Move and CrossFlowX class. And for every person that attends their class, $1 is donated to the National Tumor Society.

Get more info here.

2. City Bakery

Located a few steps away from The Movement, stop in to try their world famous hot chocolate and homemade marshmallow. Yes, it is a lot of calories so after you're done digesting make sure you march right back into The Movement and burn off those calories.

Kaleidoscope of Color

Guess what! There's a new video on my channel!!

My friend Rad had this amazing concept that we had to run with. It's super bold, fresh, and loud - just the thing to get you all pumped for spring. Since this concept was all about sunnies, we decided to go with Warby Parker

We're a huge fan of the brand, what they're all about, and the different styles they've been introducing lately.

Please keep in mind that this video is in no way endorsed by Warby Parker. We're just two creative kids trying to produce awesome work you would enjoy.

Off Duty | Backpack Chic

Returning to work on Mondays can really put a strain on one's back and style (hello work laptop). However there is a way around it my friends.

My way around it is with this Sprayground backpack.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect backpack for a while now - nothing too bulky or pricey but with a touch of downtown appeal. This backpack has exactly what I wanted. It's been on my person Mondays through Fridays and takes gives my shoulder (rightie over here) a much needed break.

I added this fun tassel from Shana Luther Handbags for easy access into the smaller pocket.

Another thing that has been on my person is this Out of Africa Shea Body Oil. Winters in the NE are brutally dry and to keep my skin soft and supple, especially my hands, I've been reaching for this again and again. The ingredients are 100% natural and loaded with antioxidants. If there's any scars or stretch marks you'd like to see gone, I'd recommend using this to reduce their appearance.

If this piques your interest, keep in mind that twenty-five cents from every purchase will go towards the Benin Education Fund (#winwin).

Overall, my off-duty Monday style consists of the classic cool pieces: boyfriend jeans, a striped top, and chic backpack. AND lots of coffee (not shown here). Make sure the pieces are well fitted and you're good to go.

If you want a bit of pizazz, throw on a statement necklace. I reached for this piece from Designz by Dez.

Now excuse me, my coffee is calling!
