Miami Swim 2015 Recap

Miami Swim, was an intense weekend full of amazing swimsuits and hot, hot, heat! Honestly, if there was a shirt with the caption "I Survived Swim Week" I'd be the first one sporting it in my OOTD. SO, Fashion Gods, get to work on creating that. Now that I'm back and situated, a few collections stood out to me and I'd love to share the deets.

Mara Hoffman -

The lady can never do wrong. Her wonderfully curated collection blew my breath away. Everything from the fingernails, to the hair (oh gosh the hair!!), to the shoes was on point and carefully planned out. Hoffman's collection was inspired by a trip to Guatemala and infuses her set with geometric patterns and neon. Definitely exited to wear her collection come next summer. See more here.

Wildfox Swim -

Wildfox is bringing the 90s back in 2015. Expect lots of hi-cut bottoms, flower crowns (and a floral bikini which had my inner child jumping for joy), and lots of logos. Their line was definitely full of bad-assery and I'm with it.

6 Shore Road -

I had the honor of meeting Pooja Kharbanda in her studio and was able to see her previous collection up close and personal. I was blown away by her designs then and was blown away again to see her Nepal-inspired collection walk down the runway. Lots of poppy patterns, hand-embroidered pieces, and high-waisted designs made my heart flutter and excited for 2015.

Dolores Cortes -

This collection encapsulated Miami although it's theme was Urban Safari. Regardless, the huge collection had something for everyone. And their coverups would turn any boardwalk into a catwalk. Dolores Cortes also accessorized with lots of gold, so take note for next summer and start stocking up now.

Ah, Miami Swim week, you were quite a whirlwind of inspiration. Can't wait for the next one!

NYC: 3 Events to Scope Out

Just a short post on a few exciting events you should check out this month, if you're in NYC.

1. The Seed Experience

For an exciting two days in NYC, The Seed invites those who are curious about the vegan lifestyle to learn all there is on living a positively plant based life. There will be cooking classes, tasty vegan samples, and informative sessions to kickstart your health-kick. The two days of vegan exploration happens on Aug. 9 + 10 @ 82 Mercer Street.

Get more info + register here.

2. Jeff Koons: A Retrospective @ The Whitney

Before you get the Jeff Koons x HM balloon dog purse make sure you visit the exhibition. Koons, an American artist, turns banality into lustrous pieces of arts. I'm a lover of contemporary art and sculpture and will be sure not to miss the last exhibition being held at the Whitney (before they move downtown).

Get more info here.

3. Discover Victorinox latest watch: the I.N.O.X.

Head over to SIR Stage37 and get the chance to discover the new timepiece before anyone else with the chance to win one of the seven watches they have up for grabs. The event is free and jam-packed with lots of surprises. Although, I am a lady, I think having classic and strong watch on my wrist packs quite the statement and so YES you'll see me there vying for the chance to bring a new timepiece home.

Register for the event here (August 27th)

Stay fly New York!
