Must See: Mike Kelley @ P.S. 1
If you're in New York City, or in the tri-state area, this is must see show. It's not life changing but there's something here for everyone. Whether it be drawings, prints, light installations, or teddy bears; Mike Kelley will blow your minds.
I took a lot of snaps of what to expect so as always catch the rest after the break.
Simply not enough hours to catch the show in its entirety, which is why I'm making plans to head back. I just gotta. Just like Chris Burden, Mike Kelley's exhibition was encompassed within the whole museum. His whole life's work is here and it's simply awe-inducing. His work often included found objects, textiles, video, installation, performances, drawings... he simply did it all. He was able to leave his mark on popular culture and often used his art as a means to comment on it. With over 200 works in every imaginable medium, he seemed to always repurpose materials and return to themes in his work with an abundance of humor.
For more information on the exhibition please visit momaps1.org.
Keep in mind that the show ends February 2nd, so visit soon before it's gone!

It would be a lie if I didn't show you all how bundled and layered up I was during the polar vortex. A LIE!
Trust when I tell you that no chica was seen with bare legs (even tights were out of sight) or huge down coats during this time. Even my hair was doing double duty acting as my 'face' scarf. So many layers during this (extremely quick) shoot it's shocking I don't look wider from the tanks, t-shirts, and long sleeves worn under it. But if I showed you all how I look during laundry day, then it's best I kept it real during the vortex as well.
Cute sweaters with puppies and loud patterns were how I kept the chills away.
How do you ladies layer up while still adding some personal flair?
