This year has ended on a very bad note so far. Lots of tears, upsets, and stresses. If only I knew why I cried so much, oh yea I suffer from depression (or maybe hella insane moodswings) or maybe I'm human and it is alright to feel down on oneself just as it is okay to feel happy and full joy. Things can always be much, much worse they say.

This past December, curiosity spurred by fliers and online research, I decided to attend a Team in Training meeting. To be honest, I knew very little about the organization until I attended my very first meeting. It was at that meeting where I learned about the support this organization provides to the countless people affected by blood cancers. It was at that point where I knew I wanted to do this and dedicated myself to the cause. I joined the Team.
Team in Training isn't just athletes or avid runners competing in marathons or triathlons, it's everyday people; moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends and neighbors coming together to be apart of something bigger than themselves. Every dollar raised is put toward medical research that can someday find a cure, or at least bring doctors one step closer to one.

After our demon kitty destroyed the jar that once housed our toothbrushes it was time to find a new place for our dental needs. Not a lot of options in that field but I certainly did look at toothbrush holders and pencil holders and nothing rocked the boat until I saw this toothbrush holder made entirely out of concrete. It makes the bathroom feel very minimalist and grown-up which is a good thing. AND the concrete is sealed so it's not like placing your toothbrush on the sidewalk in case you were wondering.
