Black & White

I consider myself to be a paper and greeting card connoisseur of sorts. Making greeting cards and postcards was one of my most-loved hobbies but it's been hard trying to keep it up. Work constantly leaves me feeling uninspired to doodle up a storm so I've been collecting a few Hallmark Signature cards to mail to a my favs around the country.

Taking a cue from the greeting card company, I decided to create my very own signature style centered around their skull candy card. Mainly because it reminds me of my dad (Father's Day is almost here) and our shared Mexican culture.

This look is extremely simple for those hot summer work days when one can't even. The black and white printed jumpsuit would also fit right in at the next family reunion. I even skimped on the jewelry for an even easier look, but note the amazing #GirlBoss tote which holds everything and the always fun Swedish clogs

If you tend find yourself hitting snooze more often than once during the summer season (aka me) it might be time to find the perfect jumpsuit for all sorts of get togethers. Hassle-free mornings were built upon the dreams of jumpsuits if you ask me. Just pull it on and go. Personally, I love a great print since it tends to give the illusion of the fuller hips and booty I've always wanted. But, if you want the exact opposite of me I'd advise selecting a sleek black piece instead.

Coney Island Day Trip

Finally made my way down to the sea shore with one sole intention. Well, two actually: catch magic hour and get a few Coney Island dogs. I'd say the BF and I were pretty successful.

Not only is it beach season (YASSSS), but we're also knee deep in the festival season. In my honest opinion there is no better way to enjoy life post-pollen tsunami. In fact the first festival lined up is Governor's Ball sans mud this time around.

If the weather gods cooperate you'll find me on the GovBall grounds dancing in this black jumpsuit (or something similar) and carrying my festival essentials in this handcrafted purse from Patricia Nash. May have to change the shoes for practical ones but for now, this is what I'm settled on.

Going back to new-to-me Patricia Nash - I recently discovered this brand earlier this year and got the chance to view their fall collection. The handcrafted details are impeccable and at the same time has this sense of nostalgia behind it. For me, it reminds me of prancing around in my mom's hand-etched leather tote as a child. It's kind of funny how years later I'll be prancing around at a festival with a similar purse.

Inspiration: Looks I Love (Pt. 14)

I've recently started working for a very bohemian brand and fell into the free flowing style of the gypsy spirit. The loose and light fabrics are also perfect for the rounds of festival (precisely two) coming up this month.

If time permits I may make a pit stop at Beacon's to swap out some of my things for something a bit more festival-friendly - like the looks I'm loving above.
