Fashionably Fit

Slowly but surely, one will find themselves browsing performance activewear instead of OTK boots after a few addicting workouts. Not a bad thing necessarily.

Recently I discovered Lucy at my local running. Sure enough, the next day there I was cruising Lucy.com. Their assortment of colorful and functional jackets are perfect for long runs to Coney or skedaddling to kickboxing after work.  The Run Revolution Half Zip has been my go-to.

Lots of their tops are versatile enough to wear after gym class and straight through brunch (#winwin). One of the things that attracted me to Lucy, was their emphasis on putting out quality yet trendy pieces for women. So ladies, put away those raggedy tees and get something that will motivate you to work your hardest but feel your best.

Another must-have for long runs when the going gets tough are comfortable and well-fitted headphones. Having to deal with a pair that keeps slipping off your ears, let alone one that doesn't sound crystal clear should be avoided at all times - in fact it can kill your good-run vibes. These V-MODA headphones have been able to turn on my inner Beyonce when struggling on my last few miles. I know I'm not alone when it comes to using music as a motivator. Another #winwin - the ability to go hands-free and their "mind the gap" feature which eliminates unnecessary headroom from the headband. Here's a great review from CNET for those of you wanting more info.

Getting fit has never been so easy. If for some reason you've fallen off the resolutions bandwagon - I know, the struggle is real - get yourself motivated with a new headphones or activewear that you'll want to work out in. In my case, new gear serve as motivation to get my butt out the door to show off what I got (literally and figuratively).

For those of you in the NYC metro area looking to get into shape, here's a list of my favorite classes.

Although I hate freezing to death, I really do enjoy my knits (with a closet to prove it). My favorite look from the month had to be the one shot outside during the snow with very inappropriate shoes - definitely wore that again sans snow.

For those of you wondering how I've been doing as a conscious shopper, the answer is amazing. Have yet to buy anything frivolous, only necessities such as socks. Also, visited my local Beacon's and uploaded more pieces to Postmark in an effort to unload my closet.

What were you wearing on repeat this past month?

Triangl in the Sun

With snowstorm Juno headed directly for NE, why not post up a few photos from last weekend's trip to Orlando. UGH. I was lucky enough to escape the NE for a bit and bust out a few warm-weather favorites. Generally, I'm not one to flaunt a full-on bikini but this PilyQ kimono had me feeling a little ballsy.

There's something to be said about an amazing cover-up that makes you want to bare it all. Well, almost. But, this PilyQ kimono certainly comes close to doing the trick. All that fringe and a cut that drapes the body, it had me wishing for a few extra days in sunny Orlando.

Now here's the story on the Miami Mint bikini from Triangl. It's such an awesome color and brand but I've been waiting since August to flaunt it on the blog. Reason being I didn't feel completely comfortable wearing such little material on the interwebs.

After a few months of sweating it out with Classpass, I finally felt fit and ready - so here it is. I know, I know, it's not the entire bikini but it's a start :). For those of you curious on the sizing, definitely order up. I'm normally a small (and pretty flat-chested lol) but still had to order up - the neoprene material doesn't stretch. If you have a little bit more junk in the trunk consider ordering up two sizes.

If you're curious as to which classes on Classpass I've been taking, stay tuned for tomorrow's post.
