Crop tops and pencil skirts have been on my mind.
The perfect combo to embrace our god given curves.
And it's definitely a trend I wish will stay for eternity. Expect a future outfit posts after being inspired by these ladies.

One trend that hasn't been receiving a ton of screen time (in my opinion) are metallics for Spring. Which is shocking since it's such a grown up trend (in my opinion) when done in minimal amounts or correctly. So, I'm here on behalf of the metallics ambassador to spread the awareness and some inspiration.
Scared but intrigued by the trend. Some small ways you can incorporate the trend would be to add a dusting of gold on your eyelids or getting a pair of metallic socks and letting them peek out under cuffed pants. Got a bolder personality? Try a metallic dress or shirt and pair with neutral colors such as black.
Also, did you notice... no tights on the gams. {Life Update Warning} Besides that, it's been a very busy weekend and will most likely be a very busy week at my agency. One thing that's pushing and motivating me to attend my hot yoga classes (aside from early morning runs) is the fact that Coachella is right around the corner. Whenever I'm feeling stressed, overworked and tired I throw on my headphones and listen to "Hey Ya!" Somehow the voice of Andre 3,000 makes everything ok and very worth it. What's your go-to for destressing? Share in the comments with everyone else.
Make sure to stop by tomorrow for a metallics inspiration board.

I find that when Sallie Mae owns your soul, Asos can and is amazing for finding the latest trends (currently in a 90s vibe) in varying price points. Sidenote: when I'm in a deep funk buying happiness is the only thing that cures my mood. Seems like an oxymoron since I got Sallie on my back, but trust me it helps and is so worth it. It also doesn't break my bank's little heart since my happiness purchases tend to be small buys like beauty products and deeply discounted goods off of Asos. Could be a sign of a future problem but I'm gonna act like it's no big deal...
I guess that was enough psychoanalytic talk for one blog post to last the rest of the season. Anywho, I scored this amazing midi skirt and crop top from Asos when buying happiness a few weeks ago, and have been dying to style it for a blog post. I'm soooo very into crop tops but not very into showing a ton of midriff (am I alone on this?). And for every fashion woe there is a fashion fix! High waisted pants or skirts tend to cover enough midriff to leave me feeling comfortable, and just like that, woe be gone.
As for the 90s vibe it came naturally with the crop top and that full-on marathon of Daria I watched over the weekend. I also couldn't help reaching for my flannel.
