As a production assistant, when I'm not working on set or doing runs around the city, then I'm usually in an office. For people that work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry, jeans are our bible. But, once off set then there's no reason to sport "show blacks".
For a day at the office I'll still wear jeans, one must always be prepared for the unexpected. But, instead of the same-o blue denim I'll go for something more playful (and colorful). As long as I can still bend and stretch, then I'm good for a long day at the office. I paired my jeans with an amazing Celia Birtwell print she did in collaboration with Uniqlo. And the New Yorkers on the morning commute and walk to the office loved the look. So many friendly compliments and as I told them, be sure to check out Uniqlo for more affordable and eclectic prints.
My tip for the season: mix your prints up with some color and let it brighten up your day.
And as always, drop me a line on how you style your prints in the comments below.

Lots of birthdays happened in May, considering I'm an Aquarian it makes sense. Aquarians and Gemini's can make great friends. Regardless, being able to spend some boozy and photobooth fun with my favorites is time spent well. The sun may be setting but that's okay - in Brooklyn we go hard.
Just like a cherished friend, the American Apparel skirt reoccurring appearances are revered. Truth be told, I can't afford to splurge on clothing or accessories every week for an outfit post. It would be ludicrous to even attempt that when I've indebted my life to Sallie Mae. But, being able to dress up this skirt (or any item) in multiple ways is an amazing thing and can help outfits feel new again. So, yes I do love to get creative and recycle.
Do you believe in recycling? Leave your "recyclable" links in the comments below. Would love to check out how you made something new again and I'm sure others would too.
