Apartment Project: The Bathroom Pt. 4

There's still a lot that needs to be done to make the bathroom more... Bright, but in black. Without wanting to paint the walls or change the tiles (as if) I decided to go with another inexpensive route: changing the toilet seat lid.

Success! There's still that pop to separate all that ugly white.

For the toilet seat lid I made sure to stay away from plastic and went with wood; I'm not a fan of the filmsy feeling when going number two. Need stability for sure.

And this is what I'm left with. Now to figure out a better (and classier) way to store my wet wipes and toilet paper, haha! Here's where I got the toilet seat lid: Comfort Seats

Apartment Project: The Bathroom Pt. 3

I'm trying to turn the bathroom into a little art den. I found some great prints at Ugallery.com and the boyfriend acquired some at the Union Square Markets last year. Our bathroom has lots of open white  space why not make it our very own gallery! We just need to find some frames to make it awesome.

This may not be everyone's favorite but it's certainly mine.

Apartment Project: The Bathroom Pt. 2

So when we first left off with the bathroom it was still in it's before stage. Well, I finally have some after fotos for your pleasure and concern.

My boyfriend had wanted his opinions to be included when decorating and arranging the new apartment, so when asked about what color scheme he wanted for the bathroom his response was black. I am not surprise because he wants everything in black or covered in skulls. It's pretty hard to make black work with the tiles and white cabinet and tub but I was up for the challenge.

First I changed the shower curtain and looked for something that the boyfriend approved.

This was the only thing he approved since he hated flower design curtains and I did not want my light source to be blocked by a completely black shower curtain.

Ughh. But accomplished.

Next I added some knobs to the cabinet to spruce up the all white. I got these from Anthropologie and were very easy to install.

And this is where we are at in the process. Don't worry it is to be continued!!
