Burgert is a German artist known for his mystical and gruesome (brutal? grotesque?) imagery. His colors are bright as well as muted in portions. His visions may at times be spread across a huge canvas. A lot to take in but interesting to see the narrative he has displayed before us.

Tarnation - Jonathan Caouette (2004)
This is one of those films that you will either appreciate or hate because you'll never get that hour back from your life. So let me just mention the basics and then you can decide to take the gamble. Tarnation is a documentary film that is composed of other media (Super 8, VHS, photographs, etc.) that dates back twenty years. This was made with a budget of $218.32 and iMovie. The documentary is meant to explore the relationship between Caouette and his mentally ill mother.
