Not sure if we're having a polar vortex moment, doesn't currently feel like it. Regardless, my obsessions with turtlenecks are perfect for this semi-chilly and soon chill-inducing weather. A few of my other winter-weather obsessions range from Motown tunes (YASSS MARY WELLS YASSS), Ottos Tacos, and J. Crew turtlenecks. All healthy obsessions right.

Unfortunately obsessions don't make for a proper polar vortex wardrobe. Last winter was full of lessons learned, like when I wore my Doc Martens instead of all-weather rugged boots and my feet would end up freezing. Or that one time I thought wearing a flimsy tee instead of a chunky knit sweater would suffice - it did not.
This year though, I saved up for Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals and got myself a few great pieces for the winter ahead (some worn here and others on the way). I may not have gotten gifts for others, as I should have (and will regret later) but I did get this chunky sweater - it's so warm, I found myself forgoing my coat when stepping outside. This chunky sweater is also the perfect accomplice to my BEARPAW boots which kept my feet warm and dry #winwin. To make sure I didn't look frumpy in the face area, I slicked my curls back into a ponytail and wore these elegant hoops from The Sak for a chic and well-rounded look.
P.s. Don't forget to enter last week's giveaway away here: bit.ly/1weUeNb It's a really good one too!
