These three women undergo transformation to appeal to the French soldiers' idea of beauty and in effect fight back the unwanted occupancy in the bomb sequence.
Yeah, I totally made them seem boring. But, they're not. With the suspenseful music, thick eyebrows, and the urgency of wanting to see complete their trip alive, this film (or should I say sequence) makes for good cinema. And yes, there are other factors contributing to make this Italian film, based on the French occupancy in Algeria super bon!
